So apparently being a consistent blogger is not my strong suit. PSA my son is wandering around and my keyboard is fancy and colourful lol. I am not responsible if there are some typos, although I check often. So, it has been awhile. Rhys is now 11 months old! It is absolutely crazy how time flies so fast. I can't believe how big he is! He has accomplished so much in the last 6 months since I last posted. He is cruising and standing unsupported for long periods of time. So close to walking. He eats mostly solids and hates bottles but I will get more into that later in this post because that is an entire story on it's own. As for me, my fiancé and I finally got our own place to live! It is probably the tiniest 2 bedroom I have ever seen, but it's home. We have our 3 cats back now and Rhys s still learning to not pull on their fur. It's a daily battle. My lovely mother is still doing everything she can to help us out. She helps buy snacks for Rhys even when we don't ask. You should see his snack cupboard right now lol. So full. My mom is the type that if she finds a sale she grabs as much as she can. I end up with a lot of stuff for Rhys. But, with the price of groceries it helps a lot. We are paying through the roof for our apartment. $1400 a month plus heat and hydro. Also we live in the middle of nowhere besides a gas station next door. So, we pay really high delivery fees for hydro. Lovely. Anyway, my mom also tries to take Rhys for an overnight one day a week. He is used to living there and we have tried overnights elsewhere when my mom was busy and it did not go over well. We got him back later that night because he refused to sleep. He is definitely at an age where he needs super familiar people at bedtime. My younger sister still lives with my parents and she can't even put him to bed it has to be my mom. Great phase he is in. Also, lately I have had issues getting him to bed too. But, luckily once he is asleep he still sleeps through the night. Although he used to wake me up around 8am, I'm now lucky if he sleeps til 7am.

So let's talk about Rhys' eating habits. They have definitely changed a lot. When we first got our apartment, he was starting to get strange with bottles. He was getting one bottle at each meal and then one at bedtime. That wasn't bad for a baby his age. He loved his food though. So, shortly after we moved, he decided at lunchtime he wanted food not formula. Ok, we were down ne bottle. I tried every day for week and he just refused so we cut out that botte. At this point the formula shortage was so bad stores actually stopped selling the formula he was on. Luckily I had a bit of a stock left. By that I mean I had maybe 3 cans. Well, a couple weeks after he cut his lunch bottle, he cut his dinner bottle and his breakfast bottle within maybe a week. Now he was eating 3 meals, a snack, and a bedtime bottle. He absolutely preferred solid food to bottles at this point. Shortly after this point, he was about 9.5 months old, we started slowly introducing homo milk. We were quickly running out of formula and had nowhere to buy it. We had no choice. We did 1/4 milk and the rest formula for a couple weeks and realized if we didn't soon wean him quicker we were going to run out of formula so off to 1/2 and 1/2 we went. We did this until. we had about half a can of formula left and then switched to 3/4 milk and the rest formula. Well, that lasted much loner than we had anticipated but we used all the formula. Now, he is finally on just milk But, he is starting to refuse his bedtime bottle. Some days there is no struggle, some days he will eat about half a 9oz bottle and other days he drinks the entire thing. It's a big game. So, like I said earlier, the whole bottle situation needed it's own separate story time lol. Don't worry about his dairy intake I give him yogurt every day.

So, what else is there to say. OH!! my wedding is scheduled for August 26th this year. Have I mentioned that before? Either way it is completely creeping up on me My dress isn't in yet and it bothers me slightly but it will be here in time we made sure of it. Mathew has most of his ducks in a row, part of his suit is ordered and some is here. His problem is he is buying for all the groomsman as well so they match. Wedding planning sucks. We are having a tiny wedding but planning it still sucks. Oh did I mention Rhys loves to give huge slobbery kisses now? It's adorable but kinda gross at the same time. He is constantly drooling. He has 4 teeth and I swear we will see more soon. We have his 1st birthday planned! We are having a BBQ at my mom's house and of course Rhys is getting a smash cake! His aunt is making it for him. I am so grateful for family. Another thing, Rhys has been in 12-18 month clothing for about a month now. He is crazy tall. He has always been a bit on the tiny size and let me tell you this boy eats a lot. Definitely more than I do. He finally is starting to get a little belly and it's cute. It's like when I was pregnant waiting for my belly to grow lol. I'm hoping Rhys can walk by the wedding because I am dead set on him being my ring bearer. He will be 14 months by then. OMG that's so soon that's so crazy. He used to be so tiny! If I ever have another baby Rhys is going to look like a giant. Why do they grow so fast in the first year? I miss my newborn but he has been replaced by a wonderful new baby, almost toddler. What is the toddler age anyway? Feels like I have one as he is currently screaming at me after I told him to get away from danger 8 times and he decided to not listen even when I moved him he went back and now he's hurt. On that note I am signing off saying if you stuck with me thanks for reading have a good day!

P.S. After some editing I realized I should say my son was not hurt bad. We use tv tables in our house often as our living space is so small. I was using one with the keyboard and mouse on it and he tried to grab them and tipped the table on himself. Happens all the time he is fine. More scared than anything.
