Welcome to my blog. I just want to start by saying this blog is meant for many uses. For one, mom life is tough and I want a place where mom's can feel less alone. Secondly, I must add very quickly into this that I don't want any hate towards me or anyone else that may visit the site, every parent has different views on how things should be done and every parent does things differently, this is not a debate site. I am a first time mom and still very new to it. My son Rhys (Reece or Reese are more common spellings) is approximately 3 and a half months old, his dad and I are not yet married but have a wedding date set. We all live with my parents for the time being as where we live, it is a huge market for housing and many are in need. We are actively searching for our own home, as Rhys grows older he requires more and more to keep him entertained so we definitely are in need of ore space. My fiancé and I are both 23 years old and have known each other since we were very young. Maybe one day I will tell our story but for now, let's focus on my son and my mom life. Also a disclaimer, I suffer with mental health issues and that will likely come up often in my posts.

Let's start with a bit of how my pregnancy went. It was about as normal as can be until I hit about the halfway mark. I started getting severe acid reflux and had to sleep sitting up for the remainder of the pregnancy, I also started experiencing a lot of awful pains in my third trimester but was told that was normal. Then came the day he was born. I started labour at 1:20pm on June 22nd 2022 and gave birth (finally) on June 23rd 2022 at 4:14am. I know labour can last much longer than that for many women but it long enough for me. Yes, for those asking, I did have an epidural and had little to no pain the entire labour. Those first few magical moments of holding my baby and seeing what I had been growing for the last 9 months was a magical experience that I definitely want to go through again one day. I spent 24 hours or just over in hospital and then had a heard of family waiting for me when I got home. Skip forward 3 and a half months and I have developed post partum depression and decided to start a blog about being a mom and the general life challenges it brings. (The photo shown is not my family just a cute family photo, I do not own the photo)

I'm Back!

So apparently being a consistent blogger is not my strong suit. PSA my son is wandering around and my keyboard is fancy and colourful...

Christmas

This can be one of the most wonderful times of year for some. Personally I have never done well during the holiday season and something...
